ClicSmart Controller Motion Sensor

Introduction to Motion Sensor

The ClicSmart Light Switch Controller offers a motion sensor feature that provides hands-free convenience and enhances your home automation experience. Designed to work in various lighting conditions, including darkness, the sensor activates connected devices within a range of 3.5 to 4.0 meters, offering both comfort and energy efficiency.

Setting Up the Motion Sensor

To make the most of the motion-sensing capabilities, follow these simple setup steps:

  1. Open the App: Start by launching the ClicSmart App on your mobile device.

  2. Device Settings: Tap the gear icon next to the device for which you wish to set up the motion sensor.

  3. Motion Settings: From the Device Settings screen, tap the Motion option to access the motion settings page

  4. Enable Motion Sensor: Slide the toggle next to Motion Detection to the right, turning it from white to blue, indicating that the motion sensor is active.

  5. Adjust Duration: Under the Duration setting, choose how long the light should remain on after detecting motion, with options ranging from 1 to 60 minutes.

  6. Save Settings: Confirm your settings by tapping Save in the upper right corner of the app.

Motion Sensor Calibration and Functionality

  • Recalibration: After adjustments, give the sensor a few minutes to recalibrate. During this time, avoid movement near the device to prevent false detections.
  • Functionality in Dark Conditions: The motion sensor is equipped with a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor that detects body heat, ensuring the sensor operates effectively in low light conditions.
  • Direct Sunlight: While rare, direct sunlight on the sensor might affect its functionality temporarily. In such cases, wait for the condition to pass or adjust the device's position if feasible.

Troubleshooting Tips

If your motion sensor is not functioning as expected, ensure that:

  • No Obstructions: There are no obstacles blocking the sensor's field of view.
  • Proper Distance: The device is placed within the optimal range of 3.5m to 4.0m from the area of intended detection.

By following these guidelines, you can optimize the motion sensor feature on your ClicSmart Light Switch Controller for a smarter and more responsive home environment.
